A Ripple in Eternity

A ripple on the surface of the river exists for only an instant. But over eons of time, ripples sliced through hundreds of feet of sandstone, creating this beautiful canyon. It is wondrous to contemplate. And as time ripples forward, the canyon paints a green ribbon across the desert landscape, bringing life to its shores. There are petroglyphs on the cliff walls. People have loved this place for a long time.


Location: Colorado River near Moab Utah.
