A Journey Through Time

Wandering among these cliffs is a kind of time travel. Hundreds of millions of years are revealed in a few hundred feet. Each tiny layer tells a story thousands of years in the making. The span of my life would not even show up. That is unless I was fortunate enough to have my bones fossilized. My skull would be smiling up at the sky.
