Got It!

After ten weeks of plein-air painting, I rewarded myself with a new Easy-L pouchade box. It’s much more advanced than the old Julian easel—and it’s much lighter. Unfortunately, I’ve been working so much in the studio on paintings for the Palmer Land Trust show (see below), I haven’t had it out for its maiden voyage yet. Here’s what it looks like now, brand new and sparkling clean.

Next Week! Friday and Saturday only!

 “Art for Land Sake”

Inspired by ranchland, open space, and other property preserved under conservation easements by the Palmer Land Trust, approximately 40 of the region’s top artists will exhibit over 100 works at the “Art for Land Sake” show.

An annual fundraiser for the Palmer Land Trust, 40% of each sale goes toward purchasing conservation easements to preserve lands in southeast Colorado. Last year’s show was an exciting event with sales raising thousands of dollars. I will have three paintings in the show this year, including “Morning at Red Rocks” (above). For more info on the show, go to "Art for Land Sake" Art Show

Become a Palmer Land Trust Patron

Enjoy a Sneak Peek

Please  consider becoming a Patron of the Arts.  Patrons get a first peek and first pick of the art works at the Palmer Land Trust’s 2008 Art for Land Sake Invitational Art Show and Sale.

WHY BECOME A PATRON?

As a Palmer Land Trust Patron of the Arts, you pledge to buy at least one piece of fabulous fine art from our show. Choose from paintings, photography, and sculpture by the region’s top artists.

Artwork prices start at $300, and 40% is tax deductible.

If you sign up as a Patron, you will be invited to attend the private Patron Reception.

You’ll get a sneak preview of the art, meet the artists, enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres, and have a great time. (You’ll want to arrive early to select your favorites. Last year, the art “flew off the walls”!)

A trip to the canyons of Utah kept me out of the studio the last part of August, but I’ve been busy in September. Here’s the progress on “Morning at Red Rocks.”

Journal

Read the adventures (and non-adventures) of an artist. What’s the story behind the paintings? Every event is shockingly true. Read the Journal if you dare.
