News After a 2-year lull, I finally got back out in the field with the oil paints. It felt great to be outside painting, and I was happy with the results, despite the long break. I’ll be going out again this week for more plein air painting. To see the results, read the latest journal entry below. Many of these paintings will be for sale at the studio for a great price. Right now in the Studio… I’ve nearly completed a large painting of Fajada Butte in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. I caught this scene at sundown on a windy day. The atmosphere was aglow with suspended dust particles. When the wind died, brief serenity filled the canyon. Here’s the progress:
